Facts about me:
- I am a happily married extremely proud father.
- I have been sober since Jan 2022.
- My first business, a marketing agency took 13 years to build before we exited in 2017. We grew the team from 2 to 45.
- We were part of a failed buy-back of the business having secured £2million of debt financing from a bank.
- Experienced a public implosion of my parent company and subsequently managed the transition through 3 separate owners (1 private, 1 AIM listed, 1 London Stock Exchange listed) in 2 years.
- My first venture in retail, a pub was sold for a 6 x ROI in 2015 after doubling turnover across a 4-year period.
- I have been part of the founding team for 12 other businesses and an active investor in 5 more including: festivals, events, a burger bar, a pub, a gym, a tech business, a venture fund, a whisky, a non-alc spirit, a non-alc wine alternative and a couple beer businesses.
- From 2017 to date I have helped generate £60million of investment over 7 separate raises, from friends and family, HNW’s, Private Equity, Venture Funds and Family Offices in both the UK and the US.
- Helped set up the worlds first independent accelerator in the drinks industry. My title was Head of Fuel.
- I have been on all sides of the board room table both in the UK and the US managing high level stakeholders and investors as well as holding non-exec and exec positions.
- Employed 100’s of people at all levels from Chairman to Kitchen Porter.
- My hobbies include: mycology, surfing, snowboarding, Spanish and keeping as fit and healthy as a I can for as long as I can.
